Pipe Bands Australia (PBA) Queensland is the governing body for pipers, drummers and bands registered with the Queensland branch. Managed by a highly dedicated and committed group of actual players, PBA Queensland is at the forefront of forging the interests of its members and ensuring Queenslanders are well represented nationally and internationally.

Chaired by Donald MacSween, PBA Queensland is instrumental in keeping Queensland pipe bands up to world standard with innovative workshops, international summer school scholarships and bringing the best piping and drumming tutors and adjudicators to Queensland At the 2010 Tartan Spectacular, Queensland will introduce the first mid-section drumming adjudication at an Australian Pipe Band Championships. Whilst not part of the formal competition, Queensland recognises the rapid musical importance bass and tenor drumming plays to the ensemble of contemporary pipe bands. PBA Queensland is very proud to welcome Craig ‘HOSS’ Colquhoun to spearhead this initiative.
